殖民地【zhí mín dì】
colony; settlement
[名]原指强国在国外侵占并移民居住的地区，后泛指丧失了政治经济独立权力，受他国管辖的地区或国家
 英国曾是殖民地最多的国家。 Britain once ruled more colonies than any other countries.
只【zhǐ, zhī】
(zhǐ) 1. when; just; after 2. just; only; merely (zhī) 3. for boats, bird, some animals, some containers, and one of certain paired
(zhǐ) [副]1、表示在很短的时间发生 2、表示限于某个范围 (zhī) [量]3、有个的意思

只得【zhǐ dé】

只好【zhǐ hǎo】
have no choice but to; have to

 买不到火车票，我只好坐汽车回家。 Since I could not get a train ticket, I had no choice but to go home by automobile.

只要【zhǐ yào】
as long as; if only; so as; so far as; so long as
[连]表示具有充分的条件，正句常用“就”、“也”、“都”、“便”相呼应
只要大家有信心，困难总会克服的。 As long as we have confidence, we will overcome the difficulties in the end.
